I just got back from the July 4th photoshoot. It went pretty good. I shot on the East side of the Morrison bridge. I scouted around for abut an hour beforehand to find a good location to shoot at. I got a new tripod head and a remote shutter release for the shoot. I ended up with about 50 shots each about 1-10 second exposures. Out of those 50 shots I got about 4 that are good enough to post. The fireworks went from 10 'til about 10:30 PM. I'll post a few images up on the photo album and maybe even add a couple into this blog post.

Now for some technical specifications:
I shot at 100 ISO throughout the duration of the shoot. I varied from an aperture of 8-22 and I used the Canon 40D with 24-70 lens. I have a very nice tripod and I was pleased with the new 3-way head that I just purchased.
Well, that's about it for this subject. I had fun at the shoot. My cat always gets really scared from the firecrackers on the 4th. He hides under the bed all night and when I go into the bedroom he comes out and hangs out near my feet, purring. I wonder what's going on in his mind. Probably scared as hell.
